Our Counseling Services To read this in black and white click this link. Right now we are offering three types of counseling services. Phone counseling as well as seaonal sessions on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We also offer intuitive readings with my wife Leslie. Our sessions are $50 for an hour session which includes one email per session. We feel that an email before each session is a good communication tool for us all to prepare for the upcoming session. Counseling Sessions On The Blue Ridge Parkway I have worked with other counselors who had experience working with troubled teenagers by camping in the wilderness. Bringing troubled teenagers out into national parks and forests reveals astounding results in terms of transformation and healing. Many people in our society are completely drained by the stress and stimulation that modern life bombards us with. Sometimes just being able to get a short break from modern life. The blue ridge parkway is close to where we live and it is a great place to take a break and get recharged. Natural setting like this are a great place for people to get filled up by all the energy and vigor that the natural world has to offer. This makes these places great for personal growth and change. First of all by breaking away from the rut of modern life we allow ourselves the opportunity to gain insight and perspective that a new environment has to offer. Secondly, the raw purity and energy that is available at the Blue Ridge Parkway allows a person to open up old traumas and wounds. Any negative energy that is stored in a person can easily be observed by the immense natural backdrop. The person then can get filled up by natural energy that parkway emits. For these reason we offer 2 hour counseling sessions on the Blue Ridge Parkway for $60 which includes one email per session. We feel that an email before each session is a good communication tool for us all to prepare for the upcoming session. The sessions can be a sitting session or can be conducted as we walk along various trails at the parkway. For many people walking is a preferably medium for talking and thinking. many people think and emote better if they are allowed to move. Most traditional counseling methods are problem centered. The therapeutic process works by solving the problem. Both the client and therapist focus on the problem and solution leaving the solution to the problem off in some distant future reality. Often times the client is asked again and again to talk and experience past trauma as some way to get to the bottom of problem. At enough is enough counseling we don't do that. We are not interested in getting to the bottom of the problem. Our interest is to help you get to the top or solution. We start with the premise that your problems are systemic in nature. You have been living in an unnatural system for all of your life and eating unnatural food, watching unhealthy things on TV. You have a had stressful life at work and are being bombarded by materialism every day. Our have been living in a system that is in sync with how humans are designed to live. Through all this you are trying to cope and you have symptoms related to our unnatural system. So what more needs to be said about your problems? The real work is to help you find out what is natural for you and help you create that natural life in which you can thrive. You may have some fears and hesitation along the way because of past trauma and that will need to be transformed but other then that the best thing that can happen to you is that you get out of the system as best you can and create a lifestyle based on how you are designed to live. That is our sole purpose here at Enough is enough counseling. When I felt that I was being called to start this counseling business it came to me that I should make our services as affordable as possible. Living naturally evolves a high degree of frugality and taking only what you need. To make our counseling business congruent with our cottage farming lifestyle it was imperative for me to make the cost of our sessions as inexpensive as possible. Our family of 2 adults and 4 children, a cows, a border collie 18 chickens and 1 cat can survive on around $12,500 a year. That is the bare minimum that we need. Factoring what our time is worth as well as the price of experience and education I came up with a $50 hour figure while adding travel expenses to in-home and Blue Ridge Parkway services. Leslie's sessions are a bit more as her physic work takes more energy and her time is much more demand around here. Her time is a little more valuable to our family. Another reason our services are as inexpensive as possible is that we really want to help people live more natural lifestyles. We have gotten so much out of transferring to a cottage farming lifestyle we want to help others to make this same change. We really believe in this lifestyle and we think the world will be a better place when we all make this vital and inevitable change. We are also open to bartering for services in many case we would prefer that method as it is more in-line with how we are striving to live. In any we are setting up this counseling business to be a natural part of our cottage farming lifestyle. It is an agrarian counseling system.
